The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. , for his proactive and people-centered approach to governance, particularly his recent intervention at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO).
Describing the Governor’s actions as timely and commendable, the DG lauded the constitution of a high-powered committee to review the implementation of the new minimum wage at the institution. He noted that this move reflects a leadership that listens, engages, and takes decisive steps to resolve critical issues affecting workers.
Hon. Olakunori further praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for clearing the backlog of salary arrears owed to staff of the Polytechnic, stressing that such a bold decision not only restores dignity to workers but also boosts morale and productivity within the academic environment.
“The Governor has once again demonstrated that governance is about responsibility and responsiveness. Clearing salary arrears and addressing wage concerns head-on shows a clear commitment to workers’ welfare and institutional stability,” he stated.
The DG also welcomed the confirmation of Dr. Simeon Olorunwa Adegun as the substantive Rector of RUGIPO, noting that stable leadership is essential for the growth and development of tertiary institutions in the state.
He emphasized that these actions are part of the broader efforts by the Aiyedatiwa-led administration to rebuild and reposition Ondo State for sustainable development.
Hon. Olakunori urged stakeholders across the state to continue supporting the Governor’s reform-driven agenda, adding that collective effort remains key to achieving lasting progress.
