The Director General of Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for approving major infrastructural and developmental projects across various parts of the state, describing the approvals as a clear demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to the future growth and prosperity of Ondo State.
DG Opomulero described the approval of the 2.38-kilometre flyover bridge in Akure as a bold and visionary intervention that will significantly reduce traffic congestion and modernize the state capital. He noted that the Alagbaka–FUTA corridor remains one of the busiest routes in Akure and that the project will improve transportation, stimulate economic activities, and enhance the city’s aesthetics.
He further applauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for ensuring that development is spread across all parts of the state through the approval of strategic road projects in Idoani, Oke Agbe, Ilaje, Irele, Owo, Idanre, Odigbo, and other local government areas. According to him, the Governor has once again demonstrated fairness, inclusiveness, and a genuine commitment to balanced development.
DG Opomulero also praised the approval of counterpart funding for the rehabilitation of the Owena Dam, stating that the project will improve access to potable water and sanitation services for residents. He added that the procurement of modern medical equipment for UNIMEDTH will strengthen healthcare delivery, improve medical training, and enhance the overall health sector in the state.
Speaking on education, he described the upgrade of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, to a University of Agricultural Science and Technology as a landmark achievement that will expand educational opportunities for young people, promote innovation, and support technological advancement within the state.
According to him, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration continues to deliver visible results through purposeful governance, impactful policies, and people-oriented projects.
