The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has said that the forthcoming elections will ultimately determine whether the decisions taken in Abuja align with the wishes of the people of Ondo State.
According to him, no political decision that departs from the wishes of the electorate can permanently override the people’s mandate.
“Generally, elections will prove whether Abuja’s decision reflects the true will of the people of Ondo State. Democracy belongs to the people, and the ballot remains the ultimate judge. The outcome will also demonstrate the level of confidence the people have in the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,” he stated.
Hon. Olakunori maintained that the people of Ondo State have consistently demonstrated political maturity and will once again use the ballot box to reaffirm their democratic choices.
He urged all political stakeholders to respect democratic principles, uphold fairness and justice, and allow the wishes of the people to prevail, stressing that history has shown that the electorate always has the final say.
