The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has thrown an open challenge to the 15 groups operating under the BTO political structure to a peaceful statewide road walk, insisting that genuine grassroots support is built over years of commitment to the people—not overnight.
Hon. Olakunori declared:
“I challenge all the 15 BTO groups to organize a statewide road walk on any date of your choice. Mobilize every structure at your disposal, and the Opomulero Group will do the same. Let the people of Ondo State decide who truly commands the confidence of the masses.
For over 15 years, I have painstakingly built a genuine grassroots political structure across Ondo State through consistent engagement, loyalty, and service to the people. That structure was not built overnight, and it was not built with money. It was built on trust.
Bring every political structure you have. Bring every resource at your disposal. Opomulero will bring the people. Genuine popularity cannot be bought, rented, or manufactured. The people will always stand with those who have stood with them.”
He added that the political future of Ondo State would be determined by the people and not by financial influence or political intimidation.
“The era of believing that money alone can replace the people’s will is over. Ondo people are politically conscious and can distinguish between structures built on conviction and those sustained by financial inducement. I have absolute confidence in the structure we have built over the last 15 years, and I am ready to put it to the test before the people.”
