The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), heartily commends the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), APC elders and other critical stakeholders for their historic resolutions reaffirming the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as the undisputed leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.
The resolutions reached at the meeting have once again laid to rest every unnecessary controversy over the leadership of our great party in Ondo State. The APC constitution and political tradition recognise the sitting governor as the leader of the party in the state, and the unanimous position of our respected elders has further strengthened that principle.
I congratulate Governor Aiyedatiwa for his maturity, humility and inclusive leadership. His commitment to reconciliation after the party primaries demonstrates that he places the collective interest of the APC above personal or political differences.
I also commend the Chairman of the GAC, Chief Pius Akinyelure, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke and every leader who stood firmly for unity. Their patriotic intervention has sent a clear message that the future of the APC in Ondo State can only be secured through cooperation, respect for leadership and collective responsibility.
The Opomulero Group fully aligns itself with the resolutions of the meeting. We shall continue to mobilise our members across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State in support of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
I also use this opportunity to appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa for carrying everyone along in governance. It is gratifying that several members of the Opomulero Group have been given opportunities to serve the state under this administration. We deeply appreciate the governor’s confidence in our members, and we assure him of our unwavering loyalty, commitment and continued grassroots mobilisation for the success of his administration and our great party.
This is not the time for division, bitterness or unnecessary political rivalry. Every support group, every stakeholder and every loyal party member must rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa as we begin the journey toward delivering an even more convincing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The Opomulero Group remains committed to peace, reconciliation, grassroots mobilisation and the continued progress of the APC in Ondo State.
