The Convener of Tope Liberty Care has applauded the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the landmark decisions reached at the recent Executive Council meeting, describing them as clear evidence of visionary leadership and a genuine commitment to sustainable development.
The approval of the $1.6 million UNIDO Small Hydropower Project at the Owena Dam and the establishment of a 7.5-megawatt gas-fired power plant for government facilities demonstrate that Governor Aiyedatiwa is building a modern Ondo State that is prepared for the future. These projects will improve energy reliability, reduce the cost of governance, and create an enabling environment for economic growth and investment.
We also commend the Governor for approving counterpart funding for the Owena Urban Water Project. Access to clean and safe water is fundamental to public health and community development, and this administration has once again shown that it places the welfare of the people above all else.
The conversion of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, into Rufus Giwa University of Agriculture, Science and Technology is another historic achievement that will strengthen higher education, promote innovation, support agricultural development, and expand opportunities for the youth of Ondo State.
Equally commendable is the ratification of 21 infrastructure projects across the state, reflecting Governor Aiyedatiwa’s determination to ensure balanced development in every local government area. Roads, public facilities, and other critical infrastructure remain the foundation for economic prosperity and improved living standards.
These bold approvals reaffirm that Governor Aiyedatiwa is focused on delivering tangible results rather than empty promises. His administration continues to demonstrate competence, accountability, and a clear vision for the future of Ondo State.
