The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has applauded the approval by the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the installation of a 240kW solar power system at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH), Ondo.

According to DG Opomulero, this decision is another practical demonstration that Governor Aiyedatiwa is committed to solving problems through purposeful governance rather than empty political rhetoric.

He noted that reliable electricity remains one of the greatest challenges facing healthcare institutions across Nigeria, stressing that the Governor’s intervention will guarantee uninterrupted medical services, protect life-saving equipment, reduce operational costs, and ultimately improve the quality of healthcare available to the people of Ondo State.

“This is not just about installing solar panels; it is about protecting lives, supporting healthcare professionals, and ensuring that patients receive quality treatment without disruption caused by power failure. Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again shown that governance is about making decisions that directly improve the lives of the people.”

DG Opomulero further commended the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr. (Dr.) Johnson Alabi, for driving innovative energy solutions that complement the Governor’s vision for sustainable development.

He emphasized that the Aiyedatiwa administration continues to record tangible achievements across critical sectors, including healthcare, education, infrastructure, agriculture, security, and workers’ welfare, despite economic challenges facing the nation.

He urged the people of Ondo State to continue supporting the administration, adding that the Governor’s consistent investments in public infrastructure are laying a solid foundation for a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Ondo State.
