Ondo North deserves representation that goes beyond occupying a Senate seat. It deserves a voice that listens, a representative who remains accessible and a leadership approach that places the people at the centre of every legislative responsibility.

That is the message accompanying the growing aspiration of Prince Nekan Olateru-Olagbegi to represent the people of Ondo North Senatorial District in the Senate in 2027.

For Prince Olateru-Olagbegi, political representation should never be treated as a personal trophy. It is a public trust and a responsibility to carry the aspirations of the people into the National Assembly.

Ondo North is made up of Owo, Ose, Akoko North-West, Akoko North-East, Akoko South-West and Akoko South-East—communities with enormous human and economic potential, but also with challenges requiring sustained attention at both state and federal levels.

The people include farmers, traders, artisans, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, women and young people. Their concerns are diverse, but their expectation from public leadership is straightforward: to be heard, represented and remembered beyond election periods.

Prince Olateru-Olagbegi’s vision is built around that principle.

REPRESENTATION MUST BE CLOSE TO THE PEOPLE

As 2027 approaches, the conversation should not be limited to who occupies the Senate seat.
