The Director General of Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as a remarkable and impactful performance within a short period of one year in office, particularly in the area of justice sector reforms and institutional strengthening.

Reacting to the Special Recognition Award conferred on the Governor by the Nigerian Bar Association, Okitipupa Branch, the DG noted that the honour is not only well-deserved but also a reflection of a leadership style anchored on fairness, responsiveness, and respect for the rule of law.

According to the DG, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s directive for the renovation of courts in Okitipupa and his continued commitment to judicial autonomy demonstrate a practical understanding of governance beyond rhetoric.

“In just one year, Mr. Governor has shown that leadership is not about noise, but about measurable impact. Strengthening the judiciary, making justice accessible, and prioritizing institutional reforms are clear indicators that Ondo State is on the path of sustainable democratic growth,” the DG stated.

Hon. Olakunori further emphasized that the Governor’s call for a people-centered justice system aligns with global democratic standards, where governance must directly reflect the needs and realities of the citizens.

He also acknowledged the remarks of legal icon, Wole Olanipekun, on the need to safeguard the judiciary from excessive burdens, noting that such insight reinforces the urgency of ongoing reforms being championed by the Aiyedatiwa administration.

The DG added that beyond the recognition by the NBA, the real achievement lies in restoring public confidence in governance and ensuring that institutions work for the people, not against them.

“This administration has, within a short time, repositioned governance as a tool for justice, equity, and service. The renovation of court infrastructure, coupled with policy direction, shows seriousness of purpose and a government that listens,” he added.

Hon. Olakunori therefore urged stakeholders, political leaders, and citizens of Ondo State to continue supporting the Governor in consolidating these gains, stressing that sustainable development requires collective responsibility.

“The journey has started well. The results are visible. The people must stand firm to protect and support this vision for a greater Ondo State,” the statement concluded.
