ELEREWE FAMILY CONFIRMS BODY OF HIGH CHIEF BABATUNDE ILORI WAS INTACT, COMMENDS FMC OWO MORTUARY

The family of High Chief Babatunde Ilori (Elérèwè) has categorically debunked circulating claims that the body of the late High Chief was damaged while in the custody of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo Mortuary.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Elerewe, Director General of the Opomulero Group, confirmed that upon inspection, the body of High Chief Babatunde Ilori was found intact, well preserved, and handled with the highest level of professionalism.

Hon. Olakunori Elerewe further disclosed that the body of the late High Chief remained at the FMC Owo Mortuary for a total period of three (3) years and three hundred and fifty-three (353) days, yet was still kept in a dignified and acceptable condition. This, he noted, is a clear testament to the competence, diligence, and commitment of the mortuary management and staff.

“The reports alleging damage to the body are false, misleading, and should be totally disregarded,” he stated. “The family is satisfied with the conduct and services of FMC Owo Mortuary and considers it important to correct this misinformation.

The Elerewe family calls on the public to rely only on verified information and to continue to respect the dignity of the late High Chief and the privacy of the family during this sensitive period.
