The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has challenged individuals and groups calling for the resignation of the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Isaac Omowunmi, to immediately present verifiable evidence of any misconduct against her instead of engaging in baseless propaganda and political blackmail.

According to DG Opomulero, public office holders are accountable to the law and the people, but allegations of misconduct must be supported by facts, documents, and credible evidence, not rumours, social media campaigns, or politically motivated attacks.

“If anyone has evidence that the Commissioner has violated the law or abused his office, such evidence should be submitted to the appropriate anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies for investigation. Resorting to media trials without proof is unfair, irresponsible, and an attempt to distract the government from delivering good governance.”

He noted that Hon. Isaac Omowunmi has remained focused on supporting Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration in implementing policies aimed at improving the financial stability of Ondo State and ensuring prudent management of public resources.

DG Opomulero warned those sponsoring unfounded campaigns to desist from dragging the image of dedicated public servants into needless controversy for selfish political interests.

He further stated that democracy thrives on constructive criticism, not character assassination, adding that no individual should be declared guilty based on mere allegations without due process.

The Opomulero Group therefore calls on all political actors to place the interest of Ondo State above personal ambitions and allow the government to continue its developmental agenda without unnecessary distractions.

Signed:

Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael
Director General, Opomulero Group
