The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the latest comments by Mr. Kayode Mogbojuri regarding the emergence and administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
While every citizen has the constitutional right to express opinions, it is unfortunate that Mr. Mogbojuri chose to reduce the political evolution of Ondo State to conspiracy theories instead of acknowledging the remarkable achievements of a governor who has continued to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa did not become governor through manipulation or political calculation. He assumed office in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and since then has demonstrated competence, maturity, and purposeful leadership that have earned him widespread acceptance across the state.
Today, Ondo State is witnessing accelerated infrastructure development, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, settlement of pension and gratuity obligations, investments in healthcare, education, agriculture, security, and youth empowerment. These are measurable achievements that no amount of political rhetoric can erase.
It is therefore disappointing that instead of engaging these facts, some politicians prefer to distract the public with divisive narratives designed to undermine a performing administration.
Mr. Mogbojuri’s advice that politicians should “go to the field” is one we wholeheartedly support. Governor Aiyedatiwa is already in the field—commissioning projects, meeting the needs of citizens, strengthening governance, and delivering the dividends of democracy to every part of Ondo State.
As for the debate on zoning, the Opomulero Group maintains that equity, fairness, and justice remain important principles in a democratic society. However, discussions about future political succession should not become an excuse to distract a governor who is fully focused on delivering his mandate.
We therefore urge all political actors to support Governor Aiyedatiwa in completing his tenure successfully rather than overheating the polity with unnecessary political calculations.
History will judge leaders by their performance, not by inflammatory social media posts or attempts to rewrite political history.
The people of Ondo State can already see the difference Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is making, and no amount of propaganda can diminish the confidence they have in his leadership.
