JIMMY ADEKANLE JAF SHOULD ACCEPT THE VERDICT OF THE PEOPLE AND STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH SECURITY; GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA REMAINS FOCUSED ON GOVERNANCE — DG OPOMULERO

The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the latest comments by Jimmy AdeKanle JAF regarding the alleged increase in Ondo State’s security vote.

It is disappointing that, instead of accepting the realities of the political process and contributing meaningful ideas to the development of Ondo State, Jimmy AdeKanle JAF has continued to seize every opportunity to criticize Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. The people of Ondo State deserve constructive engagement, not endless political grandstanding.

While every citizen has the right to express an opinion, those commenting on the affairs of Ondo State should ensure their views are based on verified facts and a proper understanding of events on the ground, rather than relying solely on social media narratives or second-hand information.

Security is far too important to be reduced to sensational headlines and partisan propaganda. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as the Chief Security Officer of Ondo State, has a constitutional responsibility to ensure the protection of lives and property. Every responsible government must continue to strengthen its security architecture in the face of evolving security challenges.

It is equally misleading to drag security issues into unrelated political debates. The outcome of the recently concluded primary election demonstrated where political support lies. Rather than attempting to regain political relevance through public criticism and social media campaigns, Jimmy AdeKanle JAF should respect the democratic process and contribute positively to the growth and stability of Ondo State. Cheap political attacks will neither rewrite electoral outcomes nor distract the Governor from delivering on his mandate.

If Jimmy AdeKanle JAF truly has concerns about public expenditure, he should present facts, credible alternatives, and policy solutions rather than relying on politically charged commentary designed to attract attention. Ondo people are more interested in safer communities, better roads, quality healthcare, education, and economic opportunities than in recycled political bitterness.

The people have spoken through the democratic process, and leadership is not determined by Facebook debates or inflammatory social media campaigns. Governor Aiyedatiwa has continued to demonstrate maturity, courage, and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy despite distractions from political opponents.

The Opomulero Group advises Jimmy AdeKanle JAF to engage with realities on the ground and support initiatives that will move Ondo State forward instead of engaging in persistent criticism that offers no practical solution. Democracy thrives on responsible opposition, not on attempts to undermine public confidence in government institutions.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains focused, undistracted, and committed to securing Ondo State, improving the welfare of the people, and accelerating sustainable development across all 18 local government areas. No amount of politically motivated criticism will derail that commitment.

Signed:

Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael
Director General, Opomulero Group
