The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has described Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as one of the most disciplined, prudent, and result-oriented governors Ondo State has ever produced, noting that no amount of politically motivated criticism can erase his visible achievements across the state.

According to DG Opomulero, Governor Aiyedatiwa has remained focused on governance despite persistent attacks from individuals whose interest is to discredit genuine progress for selfish political gains.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa inherited enormous challenges, yet he has continued to deliver remarkable results. His administration has reduced the state’s domestic debt by over 82 percent, cleared outstanding salary arrears, pensions and gratuities, while maintaining fiscal discipline that has earned Ondo State national recognition.

“In the health sector, over 1,000 health workers have been recruited, hospitals have been upgraded with modern medical equipment, healthcare centres renovated, and improved welfare packages implemented for health professionals.

“In education, over 2,000 teachers have been employed, WAEC fees paid for thousands of students, classrooms renovated, scholarships sustained, and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic upgraded into the Rufus Giwa University of Agriculture, Science and Technology.

“The administration has also embarked on massive road construction and rehabilitation across the state, improved rural infrastructure, expanded water supply projects, invested in agriculture, youth empowerment, and strengthened security through the recruitment of additional Amotekun personnel and the provision of operational vehicles.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has equally demonstrated his commitment to improving the welfare of residents through the subsidised prepaid electricity meter programme, ensuring that more households enjoy access to affordable and transparent electricity metering.

“Recognising the importance of an efficient judiciary, the Governor has also commenced the massive reconstruction and renovation of courtrooms across Ondo State to provide judges, lawyers, court officials and litigants with a modern and conducive environment for the effective administration of justice.

“These achievements are in addition to several other ongoing capital projects across the state, including investments in power, industrial development, rural roads, water infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic expansion. The evidence of good governance is visible for every objective observer to see.

“It is therefore unfortunate that some critics continue to ignore these verifiable accomplishments while promoting false narratives. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s humility, discipline, integrity and commitment to service have become a source of frustration to those who expected his administration to fail.

“I urge the good people of Ondo State to remain steadfast in their support for this administration. History will remember Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as one of the finest governors the Sunshine State has ever produced—a leader who placed development above politics and the welfare of the people above personal ambition.”
