Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied — Zone 2027 Reps Seat to Akure North Now — DG Opomulero

Share

For decades, Akure North Local Government has remained a steadfast pillar of political support, loyalty, and commitment to the growth and stability of Akure Kingdom and Ondo State at large. Since the creation of Akure North and Akure South Local Governments, Akure North has consistently demonstrated solidarity in leadership and representation. However, it remains the only local government within the federal constituency yet to produce a member of the House of Representatives. This longstanding imbalance calls for urgent redress in the interest of justice, fairness, and equity.

The call to zone the House of Representatives seat to Akure North is not divisive; rather, it is a sincere and principled appeal for inclusion and balanced representation. True unity within any political structure is sustained by fairness and equal opportunity. It is therefore both reasonable and necessary for Akure South, as a partner in progress, to support this noble cause. Ensuring that every segment of the constituency is fairly represented will foster deeper cooperation, strengthen political harmony, and accelerate development across the board.

We respectfully appeal to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, party leaders at all levels, political stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, and the good people of Akure Kingdom to rally behind this just cause. This is a defining moment to reinforce our democratic values by granting Akure North the opportunity it has long deserved.

Akure North has made significant contributions to the political success and stability of the constituency. From grassroots mobilization to electoral victories, its people have consistently demonstrated loyalty, resilience, and commitment to collective progress. To continue to exclude them from representation at the federal level would be inconsistent with the principles of equity and fairness that underpin our democracy. The year 2027 presents a timely opportunity to correct this imbalance.

Among the distinguished and capable individuals from Akure North, Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade stands out as a credible and forward-thinking candidate. She embodies vision, competence, integrity, and a proven capacity for leadership. Her strong advocacy for youth empowerment, women inclusion, quality education, community development, and economic advancement positions her as a worthy representative of the people.

Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade represents a new wave of purposeful leadership anchored on service, accountability, and genuine commitment to the welfare of the people. Her emergence will not only satisfy the call for zoning but will also guarantee effective and impactful representation for both Akure North and Akure South.

This is the moment for unity, courage, and strategic decision-making. Let us collectively uphold the principles of justice and fairness by supporting Akure North to produce the next member of the House of Representatives in 2027.

Signed: Hon. Olasupo Olakunori **Director General, Opomulero Movement
