DG OPOMULERO CALLS ON PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu TO CAUTION Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo OVER RISING POLITICAL TENSIONS IN ONDO STATE

The Opomulero Movement has taken note of recent political developments and emerging tensions within Ondo State, particularly as they relate to the activities surrounding Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO).

While political ambition remains a legitimate and integral part of democratic engagement, it must be exercised with responsibility and must never come at the expense of peace, unity, and the overall stability of Ondo State.

There is growing concern among stakeholders that certain political actions and alignments are beginning to generate avoidable tension across various local governments. At a critical time when the state requires cohesion, focus, and purposeful governance, any conduct capable of inciting division or unrest must be firmly discouraged.

It is also worrisome that party leadership structures and the office of the Governor appear to be under subtle pressure from concession-driven interests, with reports suggesting that some desperate political actors are being quietly mobilized. There are further concerns within the political space that premature governorship ambitions are already being nursed in a manner that could undermine the authority and stability of the current administration led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

In view of this, the Opomulero Movement respectfully calls on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to intervene by counseling restraint and reinforcing the need for responsible political conduct among key actors.

We also urge the Governor of Ondo State to continue engaging all stakeholders to ensure discipline, order, and unity within the political space.

Furthermore, all political leaders—regardless of position or ambition—must conduct their affairs with the highest level of patriotism and accountability. Allegations and concerns circulating within the public domain, if not responsibly addressed, risk eroding public confidence and weakening democratic institutions.

Ondo State must not be reduced to a theatre of political conflict. The preservation of peace, our shared heritage, and sustainable development must take precedence over individual ambitions.

The Opomulero Movement remains committed to fairness, stability, and inclusive progress for all.

Signed:
Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
Director General, Opomulero Movement
