While Senator Adegbonmire and Hon. Ipinsagba may be deeply engaged in legislative duties in Abuja, governance must never lose touch with the grassroots. The people who gave the mandate deserve consistent engagement, visibility, and tangible impact—not distant representation.
It is against this backdrop that the decision and disposition of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support Taiwo Fasoranti becomes both strategic and necessary. This move clearly reflects a deliberate effort by the party to bridge the widening gap between political leadership and the grassroots.
Taiwo Fasoranti represents a new wave of accessible, people-oriented leadership—one that understands the pulse of the grassroots and the importance of staying connected to the people at all times.
This reality further reinforces the exceptional leadership style of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is rooted in closeness to the people. Despite the enormous responsibilities of his office, the Governor remains accessible, responsive, and firmly connected to communities across Ondo State.
At a time when some elected officials appear increasingly distant from their constituencies, Governor Aiyedatiwa continues to set the standard through inclusive governance, community engagement, and people-driven development.
The Opomulero Movement believes that political relevance is not sustained in Abuja alone, but in the trust and confidence of the people. Leaders who lose touch with their base risk losing the very foundation of their mandate.
We therefore commend the APC leadership for taking a bold step in supporting Taiwo Fasoranti as part of a broader effort to reconnect leadership with the grassroots, while reaffirming our unwavering support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s people-centered approach to governance.
