The attention of concerned stakeholders and loyal supporters of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has been drawn to the reckless and divisive comments credited to Barrister Magbojuri Kayode regarding the leadership of the Governor and the politics of 2028.

Ordinarily, such baseless political outbursts do not deserve any response, but silence in the face of deliberate misinformation can easily be mistaken for weakness.

It is unfortunate that certain individuals have chosen to turn themselves into agents of confusion simply because they are driven by personal ambition and bitterness. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains one of the most connected grassroots leaders Ondo State has produced in recent times, and no amount of propaganda can erase the visible achievements and stability his administration has brought to the state.

The desperate attempt to incite Ilaje people against their own son is shameful, selfish, and politically immature. Those claiming that Governor Aiyedatiwa has done nothing for Ilaje land are either blind to reality or intentionally dishonest. The Governor has continued to carry every part of the state along through appointments, development projects, empowerment initiatives, and inclusive governance.

It is also important to remind desperate political actors that leadership is not won through social media tantrums or media blackmail. Governance requires competence, loyalty, capacity, and the trust of the people — qualities Governor Aiyedatiwa continues to demonstrate daily.

The people of Ondo State are wiser than ever and cannot be deceived by those whose only contribution to public discourse is bitterness, division, and constant attacks on constituted authority. No amount of sponsored propaganda or premature political scheming for 2028 can distract Governor Aiyedatiwa from delivering purposeful governance to the good people of Ondo State.

Those plotting political confusion should understand clearly that the Governor’s growing popularity and acceptance across the state remain a major source of frustration for failed political merchants who have lost touch with the grassroots.

Ondo State belongs to all of us, and responsible politics must be built on truth, performance, and unity — not hatred, envy, and selfish ambition.
