The Owo APC Council of Elders and Leadership today held a high-powered strategic political meeting at Ajasin House, Oke-Ogun, Owo, under the leadership of Hon. Jumoke Ajasin Anifowoshe, with the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Omowumi Isaac, the Council Secretary, Chief Abimbola Samuel, alongside party elders and critical stakeholders, to review the political direction of the All Progressives Congress (APC), strengthen the party’s structure across Owo Local Government and intensify grassroots mobilisation towards the overwhelming re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in 2027.
The meeting also undertook a comprehensive appraisal of the first year of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration, expressing overwhelming satisfaction with the remarkable achievements recorded within a short period in office.
The leaders unanimously applauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing purposeful and people-oriented leadership through prudent financial management, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, regular payment of pension and gratuities, accelerated road construction and rehabilitation, massive investments in healthcare, education, agriculture, security, rural development and other people-centred programmes that have continued to improve the welfare and standard of living of the people of Ondo State.
The gathering noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration has demonstrated fiscal discipline, transparency, accountability, peace-building and inclusive governance, qualities that have strengthened the APC and positioned Ondo State as one of the most politically stable, economically responsible and progressively governed states in Nigeria.
Speaking after the meeting, the Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), described the gathering as a clear demonstration of political maturity, unity, loyalty and strategic coordination among Owo leaders who remain committed to protecting the progressive ideals of the APC, supporting Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration and ensuring another resounding electoral victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
According to DG Opomulero, the endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s one-year performance by respected APC elders and leaders in Owo is a clear affirmation that the governor has earned the confidence, trust and support of party stakeholders through visible developmental projects, prudent management of state resources and leadership that places the interests of the people above politics.
He stated that Owo Local Government has consistently remained one of the strongest progressive political strongholds in Nigeria, maintaining an enviable record of delivering overwhelming electoral victories for the APC. He expressed confidence that Owo would once again distinguish itself by delivering one of the highest vote totals for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election while consolidating the electoral dominance of the APC across Ondo State.
DG Opomulero further commended the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Omowumi Isaac, describing her as one of the pillars of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s economic management team. He noted that her competence, professionalism, prudence, fiscal discipline and unwavering commitment to accountability have contributed immensely to the financial stability of Ondo State and the successful implementation of the governor’s developmental agenda.
He added that the administration’s prudent management of public resources has enabled the government to execute critical infrastructure projects, fulfil its obligations to workers and pensioners, strengthen public confidence in government and sustain an environment that encourages economic growth and investment.
DG Opomulero also praised Hon. Jumoke Ajasin Anifowoshe for providing exemplary leadership and ensuring continuous engagement among party leaders, elders and stakeholders. He equally commended the Council Secretary, Chief Abimbola Samuel, and other members of the leadership council for their commitment to preserving the unity, stability and electoral strength of the APC in Owo Local Government.
He concluded by calling on all APC members, youths, women and progressive-minded citizens across Owo, Ondo State and Nigeria to remain united, reject divisive politics, deepen grassroots mobilisation and work collectively to secure another historic victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 while supporting Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to consolidate on the achievements already recorded within his first year in office.
