My attention has been drawn to the comments made by Wale Omolegbo Odusola regarding the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State. His submission is filled with assumptions, political mischief, and deliberate attempts to create a false impression that does not reflect the reality within our great party.
First, the APC in Ondo State remains solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. There is no division over President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election. The people of Ondo State have consistently demonstrated their loyalty to the APC, and that loyalty remains unshaken.
Wale Omolegbo Odusola cannot dictate how the APC manages its internal affairs. Every political party has established mechanisms for resolving disagreements. The APC is a democratic party that accommodates differing opinions while maintaining discipline through its constitutional processes, not through media trials or political propaganda.
It is ironic that someone who now claims to belong to another political party is prescribing disciplinary measures for the APC. If he has truly left the APC, why is he so concerned about how our party is governed? His continued focus on the APC only reinforces the fact that it remains the dominant political force in Ondo State.
His attempt to portray internal disagreements as a threat to President Tinubu’s electoral fortunes is misplaced. President Tinubu is an experienced political leader who understands the difference between internal democratic engagement and disloyalty. Ondo APC has remained one of the strongest pillars of support for Mr. President, and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Ebenezer Adeniyan, spoke the truth. There is no threat whatsoever to President Tinubu’s votes in Ondo State. Rather than engaging in speculation, political opponents should prepare for the reality that the APC remains the party to beat in Ondo State.
Wale Omolegbo Odusola’s prediction that his party will defeat the APC in Ondo State is nothing more than political wishful thinking. Elections are decided by the people, and the people of Ondo State have consistently shown confidence in the APC.
The APC in Ondo State remains focused, united, and committed to delivering another overwhelming victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
