The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the latest Facebook post by Barrister Kayode Mogbojuri, where he once again attempted to discredit the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa while promoting the 2028 governorship ambition of the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

While every citizen has the constitutional right to express political opinions, no one has the right to distort facts or heat up the political atmosphere through a campaign of endless hostility against a Governor who is focused on governance.

It is unfortunate that Barrister Mogbojuri has chosen to abandon objective political discourse for a premature succession campaign. The people of Ondo State elected Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to serve them, and his performance should be judged on verifiable achievements—not on the ambitions of those already distracted by 2028 politics.

For the avoidance of doubt, after Governor Aiyedatiwa successfully completes his constitutional eight-year tenure, the conversation should not be about imposing another candidate from the same axis. Equity, justice, fairness, and political balance demand that the governorship rotates to Ondo Central Senatorial District.

It is Akure Lokan.

Those attempting to market Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as an inevitable successor should remember that Ondo State belongs to all its people, not to any individual or political camp. No amount of Facebook propaganda can erase the legitimate aspiration of Ondo Central to produce the next Governor after Aiyedatiwa’s tenure.

The people of Akure and the entire Ondo Central Senatorial District have contributed immensely to the political development of our State. Their turn should not be sacrificed on the altar of premature ambition or political intimidation.

We therefore advise Barrister Kayode Mogbojuri and those promoting this narrative to allow Governor Aiyedatiwa to concentrate on governance. The people will decide the future of Ondo State at the appropriate time, guided by competence, fairness, equity, and respect for the established spirit of power rotation.

No amount of social media agitation will change this reality.

After Aiyedatiwa’s successful completion of eight years, it is Akure Lokan.
