In every democracy, criticism is expected, but when criticism is deliberately replaced with propaganda, misinformation, and calculated attempts to undermine public confidence, it ceases to serve the people and begins to serve selfish political ambitions.

Today, Ondo State is witnessing an organized campaign of falsehood designed not only to discredit Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa but also to sow division within the All Progressives Congress (APC). The objective is obvious: distract the government, weaken party unity, and create an atmosphere of political instability ahead of future electoral contests.

Fortunately for the people of Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has refused to be distracted. Rather than engage in needless political battles or exchange words with detractors, he has chosen the nobler path of governance. While others invest their time in spreading propaganda, Governor Aiyedatiwa continues to invest in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, security, rural development, and policies that directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

History has consistently shown that propaganda may dominate headlines for a moment, but it can never erase visible achievements. Lies may travel fast, but they eventually collapse under the weight of undeniable facts. Roads cannot be denied. Schools cannot be denied. Hospitals cannot be denied. Improved welfare for workers and retirees cannot be denied. These are the enduring responses of a performing government.

It is unfortunate that some political actors now believe the quickest route to relevance is to constantly attack the Governor and paint every government initiative in negative colours. Such politics of bitterness contributes nothing to the progress of Ondo State. Leadership should be measured by ideas, vision, and service—not by orchestrated campaigns of hatred and misinformation.

Governor Aiyedatiwa understands that the confidence of the people is earned through performance, not propaganda. That is why his administration remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy instead of wasting valuable time responding to every sponsored narrative.

The people of Ondo State are wiser than many assume. They can distinguish between empty political noise and genuine governance. They are witnessing projects being executed, policies being implemented, and promises gradually becoming reality.

As Director General of the Opomulero Group, I urge well-meaning citizens to reject divisive propaganda and remain focused on the bigger picture. Our state deserves constructive engagement, not endless political distractions fueled by personal ambition.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated that the most effective response to political propaganda is not anger or retaliation—it is sustained performance, purposeful leadership, and visible development.

In the end, history will remember those who built the state, not those who merely sought headlines through unfounded attacks.
