The latest attempt to link Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to the Accord Party in Osun State is nothing more than another desperate political distraction designed to create confusion within the APC and damage the image of a governor who remains firmly committed to his party.

Let those peddling this allegation provide evidence instead of recycling speculation, Facebook comments and political gossip. Politics is not a marketplace where rumours become facts simply because desperate politicians repeat them often enough.

Governor Aiyedatiwa is an APC governor. His loyalty to the party and his commitment to the progress of Ondo State do not require validation from those who are desperately searching for a political weapon against him.

It is particularly laughable that the outcome of an election in another state is now being used to manufacture a crisis in Ondo State. What exactly is the connection between the Osun electorate and the political mandate given to Governor Aiyedatiwa by the people of Ondo State?

The answer is simple: there is none.

Those attempting to turn the Osun result into an internal APC crisis in Ondo should stop. Governor Aiyedatiwa has responsibilities in Ondo State, and he is focused on governance, development and delivering on the mandate entrusted to him.

The governor’s opponents should also understand that propaganda cannot replace performance, and blackmail cannot erase achievements. Instead of inventing imaginary alliances, they should tell Ondo people what they have done for them.

The attempt to portray every political development as evidence of division within Governor Aiyedatiwa’s camp is becoming predictable. Whenever there is no substantive issue to attack, political merchants manufacture one.

Ondo APC is not collapsing. Governor Aiyedatiwa is not distracted. And Ondo people are not fools.

Those who are already frightened by the governor’s growing political strength ahead of 2027 should prepare for a political contest based on ideas, records and the people’s judgment—not rumours, blackmail and manufactured controversies.

As DG Opomulero, my position is clear: stop using Osun politics to manufacture an Ondo crisis. Leave Governor Aiyedatiwa alone to govern, and let the people decide his political future.
