Following the state government’s approval of extensive road constructions and dualisations, on-the-spot assessments confirm that substantial progress is underway. Key projects include the Akure–Idanre road, the 8.5 km College Road in Igbokoda, the 27.5 km Igbokoda/Okitipupa Express Road, and the Akungba–Ikare dual carriageway — all aimed at improving safety, connectivity, and long-term economic growth.
Residents and local traders acknowledge temporary disruptions from construction but welcome the lasting benefits these roads will bring. Contractors have already commenced work on College Road, with other major projects set to continue without delay, ensuring timely delivery and proper utility installations.
DG Opomulero emphasizes that these infrastructure developments are tangible evidence of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s responsive leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people. Alongside road development, attention to security remains critical to ensure a safe and prosperous environment for all residents.
