The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the publication by Comrade Ayeni Temidayo, which is nothing but a calculated attempt to misinform the people of Ondo State and create unnecessary panic around the management of the state’s finances.
Let it be made unequivocally clear: Ondo State is not run on social media propaganda or media blackmail. Governance is not a roadside show where figures are thrown around carelessly to satisfy the curiosity of political jobbers seeking relevance.
The claims that the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, has failed in her duty are not only misleading but deliberately mischievous. Financial management in government is governed by due process, institutional checks, and statutory regulations—not by the dictates of individuals seeking cheap public attention.
It is quite unfortunate that some individuals, under the guise of activism, have reduced serious governance issues to emotional blackmail and sensational headlines. Ondo State is not in crisis, and there is no secrecy as being falsely portrayed.
We find it laughable that those who suddenly discovered “transparency” today were silent when governance in this country was truly opaque. The selective outrage exposes the real intention behind this publication—pure political mischief.
Let it also be stated clearly: Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration will not be distracted by noise. The government remains focused on delivering results, stabilizing the state, and ensuring that public resources are managed responsibly for the benefit of all.
However, while we dismiss this publication as baseless and provocative, we advise that communication between government institutions and the public can always be strengthened. But this must be done responsibly—not under pressure from individuals seeking to dictate governance through media intimidation.
Ondo people are not gullible, yes—but they are also wise enough to reject manipulation, propaganda, and desperate attempts to discredit a working government.
Those beating the drums of crisis where none exists should be warned: Ondo State will not be turned into a theatre of political confusion for personal gain.
The Opomulero Group stands firmly with this administration and will continue to resist any attempt to distort facts or undermine the credibility of government for selfish interests.
