The Director General of Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, made this position known during today’s Opomulero leadership meeting, where critical issues affecting the political direction of the group and the state were extensively discussed.

Speaking at the meeting, the DG declared that the recent dissolution of over 400 political appointees by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has exposed the deep-rooted hypocrisy, disloyalty, and lack of value among many who were privileged to serve in the administration.

According to him, the sudden rush by former appointees to flood social media with praises for the Governor after losing their positions is not only laughable but a clear sign of desperation and opportunism.

“It is disgraceful that individuals who could not boldly defend or promote the government while enjoying the benefits of office have suddenly found their voices after being shown the exit door,” he stated.
Hon. Olakunori stressed that many of those affected failed woefully in their responsibilities, choosing silence, complacency, and self-interest over loyalty, visibility, and performance.
“You cannot be absent in the days of responsibility and suddenly become active in the days of rejection. That is not loyalty—that is desperation,” he added.
The DG further noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s action has sent a strong and uncompromising message that this administration will no longer tolerate political passengers who contribute nothing but expect to retain positions of influence.
“This government is not a rehabilitation center for inactive political actors. If you cannot defend the system that feeds you, you have no business being in it,” he said.
He warned current appointees and political actors to take this development seriously, emphasizing that the era of silent beneficiaries and non-performing loyalists is over.
“This is a clear lesson: position is earned, not gifted—and once you fail to justify it, you lose it without apology.”
The DG reaffirmed that the Opomulero Group remains firmly committed to supporting the decisive leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa and will continue to stand with actions that promote discipline, loyalty, and accountability in governance.
“You will never understand the value of what you had until you lose it—and many have just learned that the hard way.”
Signed:
Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
Director General, Opomulero Group
