The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the recent public appeal by Mrs. Ogunsemore Roseline Kenny calling for the release of funds for projects in Ondo State.
While we respect her right as a citizen to express concern, it is necessary to correct the wrong impression created by her statement and set the record straight for the good people of Ondo State.
Mrs. Ogunsemore’s position, though emotional, is clearly based on a limited understanding of how government financial processes operate. The insinuation that funds are being deliberately withheld is not only misleading but undermines the integrity of the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, who has consistently demonstrated competence, discipline, and accountability in managing the state’s resources.
Let it be clearly stated: the Ondo State Government is not delaying development. What is being upheld is due process.
The era when public funds were released without proper verification, leading to abandoned and substandard projects, is gone. This administration is committed to doing things differently—ensuring that every approval follows strict financial guidelines and that every kobo spent delivers real value to the people.
It is easy to call for the release of funds, but it is far more responsible to ensure that such releases are backed by transparency, proper documentation, and accountability mechanisms. That is exactly what the Honourable Commissioner for Finance is doing.
As Director General of Opomulero Group, I strongly stand in defense of Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac and the Ondo State Government. We will not allow baseless narratives to discredit individuals who are working tirelessly to protect the financial integrity of our state.
We urge Mrs. Ogunsemore and others to channel their energy towards supporting responsible governance rather than fueling unnecessary public pressure that could compromise due process.
Ondo State is moving forward—steadily, responsibly, and transparently. No amount of misinformation will derail that progress.
Signed,
Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
Director General, Opomulero Group
