The Director General of the Opomulero Movement, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has come down hard on one Magbojuri Kayode Adekunle and his faceless group, describing their recent outburst as a reckless attempt to mislead the public, incite division, and gain cheap political attention ahead of 2027.
In a strongly worded reaction, Hon. Olakunori stated that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains fully focused on governance and party stability, and will not be distracted by “political jobbers” who have no credibility, no structure, and no real connection to the grassroots.
The DG described the attempt to drag the name of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into Ondo State’s internal political discussions as not only mischievous but a sign of intellectual bankruptcy and desperation.
“Let it be made clear — no amount of noise, blackmail, or ethnic propaganda will dictate the decisions of Governor Aiyedatiwa. Magbojuri Kayode lacks both the moral standing and political relevance to speak on matters of this magnitude. He is simply seeking attention where he has none,” the statement read.
Hon. Olakunori further condemned the dangerous narrative being pushed by the group, particularly their attempt to stir ethnic division within Ondo South, warning that such politics of exclusion is outdated and unacceptable in a modern democratic society.
He stressed that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership is anchored on fairness, inclusiveness, and strategic balance, not narrow ethnic calculations or intimidation from self-appointed spokespersons.
“It is laughable that individuals who cannot win their polling units are now issuing threats and attempting to lecture a sitting Governor on political strategy. Ondo people are wiser, and they can see through these hollow tactics,” he added.
The DG reaffirmed that the Governor remains committed to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all zones, ensuring unity, and making decisions that reflect the collective interest of the people — not the selfish agenda of a few loud but irrelevant voices.
He called on party faithful and the general public to ignore such divisive rhetoric and continue to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa, who has consistently demonstrated capacity, courage, and clarity of purpose in governance.
Signed:
Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
Director General, Opomulero Movement
