The Director General of Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has hailed Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for facilitating the return of the Dangote Group to the Olokola Free Trade Zone, describing the development as one of the most significant economic achievements in the history of Ondo State.
According to Hon. Olakunori, the renewed investment interest by the Dangote Group is a clear testament to the confidence investors have in the leadership, stability, and economic vision of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
“The return of Alhaji Aliko Dangote to Olokola is more than an investment; it is a powerful endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and a strong signal that Ondo State is open for business. This project has the capacity to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, boost internally generated revenue, stimulate local enterprises, and transform Ondo into one of Nigeria’s foremost industrial hubs.”
He noted that while some politicians are preoccupied with needless criticisms and political distractions, Governor Aiyedatiwa remains focused on governance, infrastructure development, economic expansion, and attracting strategic investments that will improve the lives of Ondo people.
“Great leaders are remembered not for the noise they make but for the legacies they leave behind. Governor Aiyedatiwa is laying the foundation for a prosperous future, and history will remember him as the leader who reopened the door of industrialisation and economic transformation in Ondo State.”
The DG further urged youths, artisans, entrepreneurs, and educational institutions across the state to begin preparing for the immense opportunities that will accompany the Olokola Industrial Corridor.
“This is the time for our young people to embrace education, technology, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. The opportunities that will emerge from Olokola are enormous, and we must ensure that Ondo indigenes are adequately prepared to take full advantage of them.”
Hon. Olakunori stressed that the benefits of the project would extend beyond Ilaje and the Southern Senatorial District, positively impacting all eighteen local government areas through increased economic activities, improved infrastructure, and expanded employment opportunities.
“The return of Dangote to Olokola marks the beginning of a new era. It is a turning point in the economic journey of our state. Governor Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated vision, courage, and commitment to development. Ondo State is rising, and posterity will remember those who made this historic transformation possible.”
