The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has expressed deep concern over the outcome of the recent decisions taken by the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding its National Assembly candidates in Ondo State.

According to Hon. Olakunori, the people of Ondo State have been shortchanged by decisions that, in his view, failed to reflect the outcome of the party’s democratic process and the wishes expressed during the primaries.

He said the development has left many loyal party members disappointed and has created avoidable tension within the party at a time when unity is most needed. Recent reports indicate that the APC’s National Working Committee revised several National Assembly candidacies in Ondo State, prompting protests by some party members.

“The voices of our people must not be ignored. When party members participate in a democratic process, their decisions deserve respect. Justice and fairness remain the foundation of any successful political party,” he stated.

Hon. Olakunori urged the APC leadership to embrace fairness, equity, and internal democracy, warning that decisions perceived as unjust could weaken the confidence of party faithful and have political consequences in future elections.

Signed:

Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
Director General, Opomulero Group
