The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has declared that the remarkable achievements recorded by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa within one year in office have unsettled his political opponents, who never imagined that the administration would deliver such visible and impactful results across Ondo State.
According to DG Opomulero, Governor Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated exceptional leadership through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, workers’ welfare, youth empowerment, and security, earning the confidence and admiration of the people.
He stated that the governor’s performance has shifted political discourse from empty propaganda to measurable achievements, leaving critics with little to attack beyond baseless speculation.
DG Opomulero maintained that the overwhelming majority of Ondo people are prepared to support Governor Aiyedatiwa’s constitutional bid for a second term whenever the time comes, stressing that continuity of purposeful governance remains in the best interest of the state.
He also commended the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, for his courageous and fatherly position that, after Governor Aiyedatiwa’s tenure, it would be Akure’s turn to produce the Governor of Ondo State. He described the monarch’s position as a sincere call for justice, fairness, equity, and political balance.
“History has shown that peaceful political succession is best achieved through fairness and mutual understanding. The Deji of Akure has demonstrated statesmanship by speaking in the interest of equity, and his voice deserves respect from all lovers of justice,” DG Opomulero said.
He urged political stakeholders across the state to avoid divisive politics and instead unite behind Governor Aiyedatiwa as he continues to deliver democratic dividends to the people, while respecting the principles of equity and constitutional democracy that have sustained peace in Ondo State.
