The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for representing the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, at the presidential launch of the NG-CARES Additional Financing, SOLID and HOPE Programmes.
According to DG Opomulero, the choice of Governor Aiyedatiwa to speak on behalf of the 36 state governors at such a strategic national event is a clear indication of the confidence reposed in his leadership, credibility and commitment to good governance.
He noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can only succeed through sincere collaboration between the Federal Government and the states, adding that Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated the vision, discipline and administrative capacity required to translate national policies into meaningful development for the people of Ondo State.
DG Opomulero applauded the collective commitment of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum to the implementation of the NG-CARES, SOLID and HOPE programmes, describing the initiatives as timely interventions that will strengthen governance, improve public service delivery, protect vulnerable households, enhance human capital development and boost economic resilience across the country.
He expressed confidence that Ondo State, under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, will maximize the opportunities presented by these programmes to improve the welfare of citizens, empower the poor, strengthen institutions and accelerate sustainable development.
DG Opomulero also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sustaining bold economic reforms while ensuring that social intervention programmes continue to cushion their effects on ordinary Nigerians. He further appreciated the World Bank and other development partners for their continued support towards strengthening governance and institutional capacity across the federation.
He urged the people of Ondo State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, stressing that the governor’s increasing national responsibilities and recognition are evidence that the state is on the right path under his leadership.
